Gallery Common is delighted to announce American artist Jacqueline Surdell’s first solo exhibition in Japan. Bliss! will open from May 25 to July 7, with a reception for the artist on May 24. The exhibition will present entirely new works made during the artist’s month-long residency in Japan, influenced by her exposure to Tokyo’s cityscapes and gardens and the history and philosophy underlying them. Comprising large sculptural wall pieces spanning over 3 meters as well as smaller, more intimate works, the exhibition continues her exploration into the relationship between landscape, the body, and spirituality.
