Gallery COMMON is pleased to present a two person exhibition of American artist April Street and Japanese artist Koji Yamaguchi at this year’s Taipei Dangdai.
Using the shared foundation of “landscape painting”, we hope that this exhibition will serve as a prompt to think about the inseverable relationship between nature and human existence.
April Street’s (b.1975, Virginia, USA) practice thus far has been inspired by feminist art of the 60s and 70s, and her paintings have incorporated textiles, natural scenery, and elements of surrealism as a way to intertwine historical and literary narratives.
