Gallery Commonでは、2024年10月5日から11月3日まで、アーティスト・角田純による個展「The secret life of plants」を開催いたします。本展では植物や水をテーマに漆喰やニス、アクリルなどの素材を使い制作をしている「Black Plants」シリーズの新作を展示いたします。これまでのプリミティブな形態の植物をベースに、より透明感のある色彩を用いて、新たな風を運んでくれます。
1980年代より角田純一名義でアートディレクターとしての活動を始め、音楽・ファッションと国内外問わず多種多様なアーティストと、ジャンルや世代を超えて活動してきました。そうした仕事の傍らで、角田はライフワークとして絵画を制作し続けており、2004年からはアーティストとしての活動を本格的にスタートさせました。
